Over the course of 24+ years in wealth management, I had the privilege of working alongside more than ten financial advisors, helping streamline their operations and contribute to the growth and success of their businesses. I took pride in managing day-to-day operations—maintaining schedules, fostering organization, and ensuring teams were prepared for success.
While I was dedicated to my work and gave my all, something was missing. The role never truly felt like my own, and I struggled to find fulfillment and personal growth. In 2017, everything changed. I discovered life coaching, and it was a revelation. The principles I learned challenged the values I had grown up with, opening my eyes to the incredible amount of control we have over our lives—far more than I had ever imagined. My immediate thought was, “Everyone needs this!”
It wasn’t until a deeply personal chapter of my life—a health scare and the passing of my mother—that I truly realized my purpose. I knew I wanted to help others the way life coaching had helped me. Before, I had dismissed “self-help” as something reserved for the strong-minded. But I learned that change is possible for anyone, and it’s not as hard as it seems.
Efficiency has always been one of my driving forces. I’ve spent my life finding better, faster ways to get things done. When I turned that focus inward—applying it to my mindset and habits—it transformed my life.
That realization became the foundation of Mindful Time Coaching, a practice dedicated to helping others reclaim their time, reduce their stress, and achieve more with purpose and ease.
With nearly 25 years in wealth management, Erica Dirkes mastered the art of
organization, prioritization, and keeping high-achieving professionals on track. Managing multiple financial advisors across two institutions, she thrived in a
fast-paced environment, ensuring everything from client meetings to regulatory requirements was handled with precision. Despite her success, Erica felt drawn to something deeper. After years of listening to a life-changing podcast, she realized how much mindset shapes our reality. Challenging everything she once believed about thoughts, relationships, and personal fulfillment, she knew she had to share these insights with others.
Now a certified life coach through The Life Coach School, Erica helps professional women break free from the belief that they must do it all. She focuses on shifting mindsets first—because no time management tool will work without the right perspective. Through her coaching, women learn that everything in life is optional, that true fulfillment comes from within, and that peace is possible when we stop relying on external validation. Erica graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in science and has lived in Minnesota for most of her life, with a decade-long stint in Florida. She worked in wealth management for two different firms, holding her Series 7 and 66 licenses. Erica also co-owned 3 Sport Clips Franchises for 5 years, overseeing an average of 20 employees.
Grounded in her Christian faith, Erica believes each person has a unique path, one that ultimately leads to greater fulfillment through helping others. Through Mindful Time Coaching, she empowers women to reclaim their time, set intentional priorities, and create a life that aligns with what truly matters.
Erica is married and lives with her husband in Ham Lake, Minnesota. They have 3 kids, 2 grandchildren, and 2 furbabies. She enjoys staying fit with hiking, biking, and regular workouts, and loves to cook, travel, and read.
